Installation and Alignment of Propulsion System on the Akamalik Fishing Vessel

SINTEMAR,

a specialist in the installation and alignment of dynamic equipment, has successfully completed the assembly, alignment, and shimming of the propulsion plant for the Akamalik fishing vessel, C/329, owned by the Nordic company Royal Greenland.

The propulsion plant includes the main engine, gearbox, tailshaft, and a maneuvering propeller. To enhance onboard comfort, the engine is installed on flexible mounts, significantly reducing first-order vibrations transmitted to the ship’s structure and living quarters. In the final phase, the flexible mounts were adjusted to ensure an even load distribution, keeping height tolerances within 1 mm.

The work was completed at the Erandio shipyard dock, meeting the strict deadlines and quality standards required by the owner, the shipyard, and the DNV classification society.

Sintemar, especialista en montaje y alineación de equipos dinámicos, ha completado con éxito el montaje, alineación y taqueado de la planta propulsora del buque pesquero Akamalik C/329 para el armador nórdico Royal Greenland. La planta propulsora incluye motor principal, caja reductora, eje de cola y una hélice de maniobra. Para mejorar la comodidad a bordo, el motor está instalado sobre montajes flexibles que reducen significativamente las vibraciones de primer orden hacia la estructura del buque y las zonas de habilitación. En la fase final, se ajustaron los montajes flexibles para asegurar una distribución de carga uniforme, manteniendo las tolerancias de altura dentro de 1 mm. Los trabajos se completaron en el muelle del astillero de Erandio, cumpliendo con los estrictos plazos y estándares de calidad requeridos por el armador, el astillero y la sociedad de clasificación DNV.
